Yaranalu Ceremony : A Significant part of Telugu marriage traditions, the bride’s mother and the groom’s family undertake the responsibility of collecting various items. These include 1 kg of turmeric, 1 kg of saffron (Kumkum), 1 kg of Sunnipindi (a herbal mixture), 100 coconut shells, 100 assorted fruits, 2 dozen Vakka packets (betel leaf and nut packets), 5 bundles of leaves, plates from the Pradana feast, and new clothes for everyone involved. These items are meticulously arranged onto 11 plates, symbolizing their significance in the ceremony.

Furthermore, it is customary to prepare a special suitcase for the bridegroom’s sister. This suitcase is carefully packed with essential items such as a saree, blouse, yellow saffron (Kumkum), saffron (Kumkum) box, Kajal, comb, mirror, and powder, signifying the importance of her role in the wedding festivities.
