Goddess Mahalakshmi Tree : In the village where we live, there will be a neem tree which is worshiped as Mahalakshmi tree. The newly married couple is taken to that temple with mela talams and worshiped to that deity tree.

If there is no such opportunity, a flower pot is decorated with yellow saffron leaves, a neem branch is placed in that pot and the newlyweds offer aarti to that pot and worship that tree. Pongali, fruits, yarans, offerings etc. are not offered to the mother goddess. Those Yaranas should be given in any Ammavaru temple.
