Mardalu Maada Veduka : Among the traditional gold ornaments worn by women in the past, the Mada holds a significant place. It was an ornament specifically adorned by the bride during the wedding ceremony. As part of the joyful celebrations, the brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other relatives of the bride would playfully hide the Mada without her knowledge, teasing her in good spirits.

Over time, this ceremony has evolved. Nowadays, either the bride’s sisters or brothers hide the Bride in a room, and the groom embarks on a search to find her. This joyful occasion sees the brother-in-law donning new clothes, and happily accompanying his wife. The purpose of this ceremony is to foster a strong bond between the brothers-in-law.
