Mangalsutra : An Important & Sacred Item In Wedding

Mangalsutra : A Ceremony involves going to Kansali with mela talas (musical instruments) along with a plate containing a piece of jacket, turmeric, saffron, a dry coconut shell, leaves, and six fruits. Both women and men can participate in this ceremony.

During the Kansali worship, the Sutra (sacred thread) is revered and then packed in the wedding box. It is important not to sleep in the house after bringing the Mangal Sutra, so it should be obtained on the day of the marriage itself.
